On Saturday, May 20, 2017, Alice Faye Anderson answered the call of her Heavenly Father. Alice was born on February 4, 1944 in Mount Olive, MS, to the late French Matthew and Susie Rea Ball. She was preceded in death by a son, Robin Anderson; her brother, Earl Howard Ball; and one sister, Jessie Mae Ross.
As a youth, she joined the St. James Baptist Church, and later joined the Bible Way Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Othell Adkins. For many years, she yielded her talent of cooking to the church kitchen staff.
Alice was a graduate of 33rd Ave High School. In her early years, she worked at the Clock Café. It was here that she established lifelong friendships. In her later years, she worked in the Gulfport School District as a cook at Gulfport High School.
Her memory will forever be cherished b her two sons, Joel (Nacosha) and David Anderson; her three daughters, LaJune, Shannon, and Tona Anderson; a sister, Mettie Leverette; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
