February 12, 1958 - August 14, 2017
Aldin Joseph Walker was born on February 12, 1958 to the late L.M. Walker, Sr. and Irene Ferguson Walker. He attended North Gulfport Elementary School and Harrison Central High School. After high school, he was employed for a number of years with Anchor Glass Company and Brown & Roots. He later attended Vocational Training School and later became self-employed, the Sole Proprietor of Walker’s Construction LLC. Aldin was married and became father to a son and two daughters. In his early years, he attended Shiloh Baptist Church, Second Sweet Home Baptist Church and then Dominion and Power Family Life Center of Wiggins, MS.
Aldin, affectionately known as “Snowball” had a real zest for life. He had a giving heart. He was known for his beautiful smile and his endless jokes.
In additional to his biological parents, Snowball was a loving and dedicated adoptive son to Marlene and the late Edward (Head) Watson. They called him the son they never had. Snowball held that title proudly. He not only built and remodeled homes, he also made families wherever he went. He was a charmer and innovator who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Aldin departed this life on August 14, 2017. His parents, L.M. Walker, Sr. and Irene F. Walker, and brother Thaddeus Nathaniel Walker, Sr. preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories, three sisters, Mrs. Deborah W. Arbuthnot (Clarence) Gulfport, MS; Mrs. Linda W. Annakie; McCalla, AL; and Mrs. Sally W. Adams, Birmingham, AL; three brothers L.M. Walker, Jr. (Cassandra), Joseph Walker (Mary) all of Gulfport, MS; and Leroy Walker (Dorothy) Pascagoula, MS; two daughters, Megan Walker Fairly (Cordarrell) and Teketra Evans Boulton (Jamie) both of Wiggins, MS; a son, Romerro Keyes (Alita); five grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
